How do I get started on Utrain?

Simply download the Utrain app from the App Store or Google Play. Create an account, complete your profile, and start exploring trainers, sessions, and community features

What types of sessions are available on Utrain?

Utrain offers various session types, including individual, group, pick-up, online, event, and soon, camps. Each caters to different preferences and training dynamics.

How do I book a training session on Utrain?

Navigate to the search icon and select location. Type in the location and choose your preferred trainer, select the session, date, and time. Complete the booking process, and you're all set for your training session. You may also navigate to your selected trainer’s profile where you will find their schedule, posted sessions, and all details.

Can I host pick-up games on Utrain?

Absolutely! Use the "Pick Up" session type to host or join spontaneous pick-up games in your area. It's a great way to connect with local basketball enthusiasts.

What is the Utrain community?

The Utrain community is a network of players, trainers, and basketball enthusiasts. Engage in discussions, share experiences, and connect with like-minded individuals passionate about basketball.

How does Utrain handle payments for sessions?

Utrain handles payments securely within the app. After booking a session, the payment is processed and automatically collected by the trainer once the session time ends, ensuring a safe, hassle-free, and transparent transaction.

How does Utrain handle payments for packages?

Utrain handles payments securely within the app. After booking a package, the payment is processed and automatically collected by the trainer and credits are issued. The client can then book sessions using credits until the package expiration date or all credits are used ensuring a safe, hassle-free, and transparent transaction. Once a client purchases a package, they can book posted session slots until the credits are used in full or the expiration date passes. To use credits, clients simply navigate to a session, tap book, and select the new package and confirm, rather than a card, Apple Pay, or Cashapp pay. Please note there is no refund request process for packages so please contact your trainer before purchasing, we do not recommend purchasing a package as your first session with a new trainer. Refund requests for a session used credit can be issued per normal.

Can I organize or join basketball events on Utrain?

Yes, you can! Use the "Event" session type to organize or join basketball events. Confirm attendance at the door by searching for the user's name in the event details.

Is Utrain available for both iOS and Android?

Yes, Utrain is available on both iOS and Android platforms. Download the app from the respective app stores to access all the features.

How can I provide feedback or report issues on Utrain?

Is my data secure on Utrain?

Yes, Utrain prioritizes user data security. By using Stripe, your personal information and transactions are handled with the utmost care and adhere to stringent privacy measures. For trainers Utrain doesn't withhold any taxes from your payments. As a trainer, you're responsible for determining and paying any tax liabilities incurred from payments received by Utrain. No worries, annual 1099's are provided to your email by Stripe during each tax season.

How can I become a trainer on Utrain?

If you're a basketball trainer, becoming a part of the Utrain community is easy! Simply download the Utrain app from the App Store or Google Play. Create your account, complete the trainer onboarding process by selecting “Get started as a trainer”, edit your profile, and dive into the world of connecting with clients, scheduling sessions, and utilizing Utrain's package features. Plus, enjoy the added benefit of a free booking website!

What is a free booking website?

Utrain provides a free booking website feature. As Utrain is available both in the app and on mobile browsers, this website allows clients to view your calendar and book your sessions without the need for a separate app download.

Can I use Utrain if I already have a website?

Absolutely! Utrain profiles offer flexibility. You can share your Utrain link directly in the app or on mobile browsers. Whether you replace your existing booking website with your Utrain profile/link or integrate your Utrain booking link into buttons on your current site, the choice is yours.

Can I use Utrain if I already have a basketball training company?

Absolutely! Utrain is designed to support existing basketball training companies seamlessly. Edit your profile and promote your brand within the app. Utrain serves as a powerful tool, allowing you to efficiently manage your training business in one centralized place—all for free!

Can I create an organization if I have multiple trainers on my team?

Yes! Utrain empowers you to create an organization, making it easy to manage multiple trainers on your team. As the creator of the organization, you'll be labeled as the admin. This role provides access to company metrics and the ability to accept or decline new trainer requests to join your organization. Simply navigate to your profile and tap edit and select “+” next to the organization section. Fill in the required information and create your organization in seconds! Once accepted, the added trainers' sessions will be visible on the organization calendar. This streamlined approach allows clients to view and book sessions with any trainer on your team, enhancing the overall efficiency and accessibility of your basketball training company. What do I do if I don't have an organization as a trainer?

If you find yourself without a specific organization as a trainer on Utrain, you have several options to consider:
1. Select "Utrain" as Your Organization: - Feel free to choose "Utrain" as your organization when setting up your trainer profile. This option allows you to align yourself with the broader Utrain community and join the team seamlessly.
2. Create Your Own Organization: - If you prefer a more personalized touch, you have the option to create your own organization. This is an excellent choice if you have a specific brand or training entity you want to showcase.
3. Leave it Blank: - Alternatively, you can choose to leave the organization field blank. This option may be suitable if you prefer not to associate with a specific organization or if you're an independent trainer.

How to Update Your Organization Information? :
1. Navigate to Trainer Profile: Access your trainer profile within the Utrain app.

3. Organization Field: Find the organization field and choose the option that best fits your preference—whether it's "Utrain," your own organization, or leaving it blank.

What if I offer monthly subscriptions instead of packages?

Packages can be created to service either subscriptions as multiple sessions over a time frame with an expiration date OR set number of credits to use in the package.
Example: monthly subscription purchased on or before December 1st.
-Title = December Subscription
-12 sessions
-Expiration date = December 31st
-Clients book Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings each week.
Example: Package by number of sessions purchased Dec 1st
-Title= 5 Session Package
-5 Sessions
-Expiration date = March 1st
-Clients can book sessions and uses credits until none left or before expiration date occurs.

Can I invite my clients or friends to join Utrain?

Utrain makes it easy to invite clients or friends. Navigate to the "Invite Friends" or "Invite Clients" section, and choose your preferred method, whether it's through contact sync, SMS message, or personalized email.

Should I add my trainer profile link in my Instagram bio? Should I add my Instagram link in my Utrain bio?

Absolutely! Adding your Utrain profile link to your Instagram bio is an effective way to attract clients from your social media platform. Capitalize on impulse bookings generated from your Instagram content by making it easy for followers to connect with you on Utrain.

What payment options are available on Utrain?

Utrain offers various payment options for the convenience of both trainers and clients. Payment methods include Apple Pay, Cash App, debit card, bank account, and stored cards for quick one-tap booking. Utrain ensures a seamless and secure transaction experience for all users.

Is there a way to see athletes in your area on the app?

Yes! You can use the search icon at the top of the app, select location, and search. All accounts in the same city or state of the searched location will appear in your search.
There are three ways to onboard athletes you’re currently training :
1. Share your profile link.
2. Invite clients with Contact Sync by SMS invite or adding the athlete’s email for an auto email invite
3.Navigate to your profile and tap the city, state you have entered in your profile. This will open a search with all users in the selected city, state.

What is the pricing for Utrain ?

Utrain is free to download, and there is no monthly subscription fee. Trainers receive 100% of their set price! For Clients, the breakdown is as follows: Processing fee = 2.9%, Platform fee = $1.50 or 2%. If your client prefers to skip processing fees, consider using credits by creating a package!

What happens to my package credits once the package date expires?

Unused package credits undergo a transition once the expiration date has passed. It’s important to note that these credits become non-active after the designated expiration date. To ensure a positive experience and align expectations, we strongly recommend contacting your trainer before purchasing a package.

How to add my Utrain profile link in my Instagram or Facebook pages?

Simply navigate to your Utrain profile and select Share Profile and Copy Link. Once done, navigate to your Instagram profile and select edit profile, paste your Utrain link, and save your bio details. We also encourage Utrain users to add your Instagram link in your Utrain bio. All set!

What link should I put in my Utrain profile bio if I do not have a website?

Your Instagram or Facebook link. We recommend users to enhance their visibility by adding their Utrain profile link to their social media bio and reciprocally adding their social media profile link to their Utrain bio. To retrieve your Utrain profile link for sharing, simply navigate to your profile, tap "Share Profile," and then select "Copy Link." By incorporating these links into each account, you can efficiently connect with your Instagram audience and seamlessly share with friends or clients. What happens if my trainer cancels my booked session?

If your trainer cancels your booked training session, a refund will be automatically processed back to your payment method or, if a package credit was used to book, your credit will be restored accordingly. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out for further assistance.

How are refund requests handled on Utrain?

When a session is booked, the payment is withdrawn from the athlete and held securely in escrow until the scheduled session's end time. It's important to note that once the session concludes, the window to request a refund closes. If a refund is desired, athletes or parents can submit a request. Subsequently, the trainer is notified and can either approve or deny the request. It's crucial to understand that submitting a refund request doesn't guarantee acceptance; both parties have the chance to include a message along with their request or response. What happens when I post a session on Utrain?

When you post a session on Utrain, four key actions take place: 1. The session becomes available on your profile for booking. 2. It is displayed on the public map by dropping a pin, making it visible to a broader audience. 3. The session is added to your training calendar for easy booking. 4. All your connections are notified of the session, unless a private session is specifically created. This ensures visibility and accessibility for potential attendees while providing a seamless experience for both trainers and clients.
